Max and Alexa Lemley to Demonstrate Cooking Techniques
Max and Alexa Lemley will demonstrate how to make a Thanksgiving meal for two and answer cooking questions.
Columbus, Indiana (10.6.10)—Award-winning chef Alexa Lemley and her father Max Lemley will demonstrate how to make a Thanksgiving meal for two and answer meal preparation classes at the Columbus Senior Center (148 Lindsey Street, Columbus, Indiana) next week. On Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm, Chef Alexa and Max will prepare a fall holiday meal for two and share samples with attendees. They will also field questions about holiday meal preparation.

Lemleys’ Catering (www.lemleyscatering.com) is full service catering business serving Indiana. Each November, Lemleys’ Catering prepares over 3000 pounds of turkeys for holiday meals. The Holiday Feast (a complete holiday meal with scratch-made foods) is served at over 200 homes for Thanksgiving dinner. The Lemley family has owned several restaurants in Columbus.
Max Lemley and his wife, Christine Lemley, started Lemleys’ Catering in 1968. Max also owns M&D Spices in Columbus, where he creates private label gourmet foods. He is an elected Delegate for the Bartholomew County Democrats.
Lemleys’ Catering Executive Chef Alexa Lemley is the only Indiana Artisan (www.indianaartisan.org) in Bartholomew County. She was accepted in to the juried program for her 240sweet Artisan Marshmallows. Last year, she was the Artist in Residence at the Indiana State Museum. Chef Alexa is a native of Columbus, Indiana. On October 13, she will be featured on the FOX59 morning news making gourmet s’mores. She is the daughter of Max and Christine Lemley of Columbus, Indiana.
