Meet Us: Dawn Bieberle

Hello to all of our readers and magnificent customers.  I would like to introduce myself, I am Dawn Bieberle, the new Business Manager of Lemleys’ Catering and 240sweet.  I am looking forward to getting to know and working with all of our clients in the coming months.

I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Tom and Carol Bieberle. I am the oldest of three children. When we were small our father moved the family to Kalamazoo, Michigan, and that is where I grew up, had a family, and started my career in restaurant management.  Then in 1997 I made a big transformation in my life: I moved to Columbus, Indiana to run the newest addition to my father’s business.  This branch of the business was sold in May of 2001, and I choose to stay with the new owners for the next ten years.  As the economy was starting to take a downward turn in 2009, I became unemployed . Not sure what I would do, I made the decision to return to Harrison College and get a degree in Business Management.  Later this month I will be graduating with my degree.

So how did I reach  my career goal before graduation? Believe it or not, I came to work for Lemley’s and 240sweet part-time.  After only twelve hours packaging marshmallows ( one of my many favorite Chef Alexa’s sweet treats), Sam and Chef Alexa offered me the position as their Business Manager. Who would have ever though packaging marshmallows would lead to my dream job? Coming to work for Lemley’s Catering and 240sweet is coming full circle for me, as I had spent twenty plus years in restaurant management before moving to Columbus and had always loved the food service business.

My favorite food that Chef Alexa prepares is Hand-Pulled Pork Barbecue. I have a wonderful family. My town grown daughters have given me four grandchildren. My pets include my dog Jypsy Rose and two cats, Derek Ann and Domino.  As I like to be creative and use my imagination, I enjoy many hobbies.  I love to read.  My favorite book is The Great Gatsby, by F. Scotts Fitzgerald.  I also like working with wood and playing with my power tools to make fun and useable gifts for family and friends.  I have always loved entertaining with my own great food and drinks.  I am so excited to be a part of this great team and being able to play a role in making all of your events unforgettable!
