Meet Us: Christine Lemley

Christine Lemley's life is a "delicious adventure" in every sense! She holds degrees in Fine Arts, French, and Education as well as having graduated from LaVarenne Ecole de Cuisine, Paris, and attended Cordon Bleu, Paris. Christine and Max have been in the restaurant and catering business since 1968. They created The Walnut Room continental restaurant when she returned from Paris. On WFYI Indianapolis she was the producer/director and onscreen presenter in a 13-part California Wine and Food Series, "Wine! What Pleasure!" and then produced the first VHS/BETA video series, "The Wines of California". She became a Rotary International Scholar at the University of Bordeaux in France for Oenolgy (the science of winemaking) and Professional Wine Tasting for one year. Her daughters, Alexa and Quinn, went with her and attended school in Bordeaux.

After retiring as a foodservice professional, Christine returned to school to achieve a Masters Degree in Divinity. In our community, she provides spiritual counseling. She also is a founding member of Interfaith Forum Columbus, which recently sponsored a screening of "God in the Box". Christine is also the executive producer of the PBS series "Dreamtime".

At Lemleys' Catering we know and love her as "The Mother". She lends a helping hand in many areas! Christine is continually inspired by Alexa and Sam and their dedicated team. As for her favorite marshmallow item that Chef Alexa prepares... that's a tough one. Each new dish is her favorite of the moment!
